Northridge was at the epicenter of the last major Los Angeles earthquake which required a complete renovation of Northridge Mall. We worked with RTKL, renowned retail center architects, and created an identity based on the central architectural feature, a grand hall with a wonderful water fountain feature. The mark is a stylized representation of that, and the logotype expands on that motif.
The re-grand opening campaign was based on timekeeping and the notion of a countdown to the big event.
